Foreclosure...will filing bankruptcy stop?

have a friend...who's about to get foreclosed on homestead residence...their only property...

I know in the mid-late 90's many people went thru bankruptcy...and it wiped out foreclosure proceeeding....is this still true on homestead residency's?

sure... but the court is going to dictate new payments and if your friend cannot make his payments now will he be able to make higher court appointed payments?

lots of options that will not kill their credit like bankruptcy.
